About the event
We've all been so good about hanging back from community experiences. However, auditions -- both online and in-person -- are ramping back up in spite of that fact.
As voice teachers, Rachel and I keep wondering: how are singers supposed to rehearse the act of performing, if there aren't safe, supportive venues in which they can do so?
Starting Saturday, Feburary 19th and continuing biweekly through the spring, we'll be creating an environment that's fully-vaccinated, socially distanced, and emotionally-supportive, so that our performers can get used to this whole "singing for other human beings" thing again.
Each singer will have 15-minutes to get up and use the time how they like:
(1) Option 1: Just run audition material for little or no feedback, simply for the practice of doing it,
(2) Option 2: Run audition material for feedback from Amy and Rachel, or
(3) Option 3: Simply sing something you love, and feel the joy of doing that for a room of people again.
Rachel (a goddess among us all) will accompany from the piano at each class.
Our hope is to grow a space for a COMMUNITY of singers to come together and feel the thrills of live performance again.
We can't wait to see you there.
